MAKING ACCESS FOR A STEERING MODIFICATION – November 25, 2020
Phillip Mikula is shown here creating access for the steering column T-bar modification we’re doing. To do this, he needs to temporarily remove the prototype’s engine information center. He’s also labeling some of the wiring, with label maker in hand. The engine information center gives the pilot access to all engine performance information necessary for test flight, including air fuel mixture ratios, engine and transmission oil pressure, RPM, etc. In the production Switchblades, many of these indicators will be shown in the Eyes Forward Display, or show up as alerts when needed.
