We have been testing the engine the same way we tested in the wind tunnel. We start with everything on, and then test while removing pieces to see what they contribute to the vibration analysis. David Nobles is filming the vibration analysis results so they can be reviewed after the test.
In our case, the engine by itself was the generator of most of the vibrations. We have to re-test one rpm setting, and then we should be cleared to put on the prop and begin long-term engine/prop testing. (Video clip coming tomorrow.)
