GOING VERTICAL – January 12, 2019
The tail had further work done, as we added two small fixed vertical fins to the bottom of the boom. These were for added stability of the vehicle during flight. One of these fins has a radio antenna in it, so the fins needed to be made from fiberglass rather than carbon, as carbon blocks radio signals. These fiberglass fins are being sanded and prepped for painting and installation by our Chief Builder, Ron Burch, shown in the image above.
