As you may recall, we shifted from making wings first to making the body first. The reasoning being that we could complete the body and be testing on the ground while we finished making the wings and tail. Then we bolt on wings and tail and do flight testing into the fall and early winter.

Switchblade Goes Into Production Phase
While the upgraded body design went through the wind tunnel, which validated the aerodynamics of this new shape and propulsion system, there was always going to be room for styling the exterior to reflect the amazing performance of the vehicle.
Enhanced Body Design Wows AirVenture
We released the new enhanced body design of the Switchblade at AirVenture in late July, which drew an overwhelming number of incredible reviews and positive comments. We were told we won the unofficial “Brown Grass Award” for the amount of trampled grass around our displays.
