The propeller is a pusher propeller, and not everyone knows this, but you actually make thrust from multiple places with a ducted fan. The major thrust comes from the prop itself. A good portion comes from the suction created at the duct entrance using a rounded lip like the Switchblade has. The air speeding up to get around that lip creates forward facing suction, pulling the vehicle forward. The last bit of thrust is a smaller amount, but is created by the shape of the propeller spinner. Here you see the propeller spinner for our pusher prop being trimmed and fitted to the hub where it will mount securely.
