With the propeller spinner trimmed, it is now mounted with the hub and propellers on the frame so the assembly can be spun to check and adjust to get a true axial rotation of the spinner. If it spins with any wobble, it will create vibration and destroy any potential to create a pressure recovery on the back side of the spinner. The shape of the spinner is such that the air expands after the prop and it gains pressure by doing so. That pressure pushes on the spinner, and contributes to the thrust provided by a pusher prop.
