One of the most critical installations is the fly-by-wire rudder system located in the Switchblade’s tail. The rudder points the nose left and right on the aircraft, and is used to make an aircraft fly straight lines when a side wind might want to move the aircraft off course.
Our system has been tested earlier, but is now being installed for flight. All systems are important, but as this is a flight guidance system, we have to pay particular attention to this installation being done correctly. Electrical Technician Phillip Mikula is shown connecting and testing the wires, one at a time.
