The elevators are the parts of the tail that point the nose down or up. Before we could fly, we needed to hook up the elevators to the pilot in the cockpit, so his actions can move that important tail feature. In this case, Lead Assembler Sean Bliss is shown connecting the elevator control cable to the center console, where it is moved by a push-rod connected to the control wheel.
