The new engine has been mounted on the tube frame and we had removed the tube frame from the vehicle to gain better access to the engine and faster work getting the electrical, fuel, and intake air connections made. The idea was made even better by fashioning temporary wheels on the front of the tube frame, and using straps to brace the wheels. This allows us to wheel the assembly around and has made such an improvement that we will likely use something like this for production purposes. We call it ‘wheels on the bus’ as a take-off on the childhood song common in the US. You can see the blue wheels and red braces in the image above.
