SWITCHING ON THE JUICE – June 20, 2019
One of the things we had to accomplish was the wiring of the electrical system, which included a fuse block. Shown in the image above, our fuse block is made up of two parallel sets of fuses with switches in between. There is a left (A) and right (B) set of re-settable fuses, with switches in between. This is so that we can have power from the A Batteries or the B Batteries, powering the vehicle. In case of problems with A power routing (commonly called a BUS), we can switch over to B Bus. It just gives the test pilot more options, and we wanted that extra security, knowing we have a fly-by-wire rudder system to take care of.
