We had been waiting for this moment, and now it has arrived. The transforming tail, moving on its own power, is truly a sight to behold. Organic, fluid, graceful, but with purpose.
It is difficult to describe, so I simply invite you to click on the image above to watch the 42-second time lapse video of the tail moving in and out under its own power. At the touch of a button, the tail moves from fully retracted to fully extended (or vice versa) in just under two minutes.
This is perhaps the most challenging engineering feat to be accomplished in this program, and we are very proud of our Team for producing such a magnificent creation.
