FIRST DROP TEST PASSED – December 4, 2020
We have three drop tests to pass for the Switchblade rear suspension with the new shock absorber. We passed the first test today, which was a series of three sequential drops from the same height and same weight. The best view of this is shown in the short time-lapse video.
There is tremendous force involved, as the tire is being forced away from the vehicle by the rotating suspension arms, and the spinning wheel is being stopped almost instantaneously. This is to simulate a hard landing. As you can see, the suspension survived the drops, and we are looking forward to finishing the next two drop tests early next week.
