FILLING THE GAP WITH GOO – December 21,2020
We are mounting a tube on the underside of the tail boom to run our push cable through. To do that, we have to drill out bolt holes through the carbon boom, and because the carbon here has a core inside, we have to fill the surfaces of the hole that run through the core with an epoxy paste. It is sticky and messy to deal with, so Sean Bliss taped up the boom where he is shown working in this image. We love the goo, but not on the finished part surface!
