CHECKING FIT – August 24, 2018

When the nose cone was attached for the AirVenture event, we found that the rack and pinion steering unit had been positioned incorrectly, and the outside of that unit bumped into the side of the nose cone in a hard left turn. After returning, we re-positioned that steering unit to allow greater clearance to the nose cone, and then put the nose cone back on to check for fit.

In the image above, Ron Burch (right) and Sam Bousfield are placing the nose cone back on to see if the clearance was acceptable, and it was just fine!
