You have heard before that we are designing and testing to certified aircraft standards. One of these tests is just darn brutal, and that is a drop test of suspension. This was the latest test, and the last of our structural tests to be done. The revision of the rear shock absorbers, and the lower A-arm (suspension arm) required us to re-test.
Samson Engineers Tanner Vaughn and David Nobles, assisted by Ronald Forseth, sped the wheel up to landing speed and then the test sled was dropped to simulate a hard landing. (Watch the slow motion action when the drop occurs.)
The system performed very well, and we reduced the G-forces sufficiently with our revisions. We are now installing this system into the rear tube frame.
