We at Samson have been working very closely with our new test pilot for this phase of flight, but we have not fully introduced him to you. He is Sean VanHatten, shown on the left taking off his parachute, with Founder Sam Bousfield on right and consulting engineer Bryan Sandoz behind them. Bryan is running the test program for Samson. As a professional test pilot with 23 first flights including 5 prototype aircraft, Sean has flown over 6000 hours in more than 140 aircraft types. He is also is an accomplished aerobatic pilot and race pilot – winning the Silver Category Sport Class at this year’s Reno Air Races! Our original test pilot, Ron McElroy is actively assisting the test effort, and remains an integral part of the test team. It is nice to have such depth to a test program!
