We have two major tests to accomplish before we can get back to taxi and then flight testing. The first was a tail structural test with the tail attached to the boom and tube frame. The tail test is actually two separate tests, but one setup to accomplish both.
For this we bolted the tube frame to a test fixture that was already bolted to a large trailer. The trailer was strapped to the hangar structure so it could not move, and then we had an intricate series of tension chains and weight locations to produce the combination of sideways and twisting forces required of this first test. This was the least safe test for us to accomplish, and we had to organize it so that our staff were subjected to the least amount of risk possible.
