SWITCHBLADE STEERING CORRECTION – May 20, 2020
The new cable for the elevator developed some extra resistance, and we were curious how this would happen. It seems that the ball bearing push cables are sensitive to twist, and if you move them after placing them, in a way that twists the cable, you can introduce a ‘stickiness’ to the cable action. David Nobles discovered this, and is shown changing the cable layout back to where it should be. The revised cable now is happy and free again. We will note this for our Owners in case they have this happen to them after maintenance work is done.
