SWITCHBLADE FLYING CAR — TAIL DEFLECTION TESTING – March 16, 2021
One of the tasks being done at the same time that the new engine is being installed was to tighten up the elevator control system. There was too much deflection (movement) when we tested it earlier, so we went through the system, removing any movement or play where we could. The test shown here was successful, and we passed the elevator test as dictated by FAA requirements for certified aircraft! We still had some deflection but it was within the guidelines of what the FAA has determined is acceptable.
