ENGINE DYNO UPDATE – June 4, 2020
We ran the new and improved SAMSON V4 engine on the dyno at Loyning’s Engine Services in Portland, Oregon, yesterday. The results were even better than expected, with the reground cam (rotating part that opens and closes the valves to let the air in and out of the engine) bringing more power at lower rpm.
The final numbers of the day showed 214 hp @ 5900 rpm. There is more cooling work to be done, and we plan to return to Loyning’s next week for further dyno work. However, the engine power we attained is more than we need, so that is definitely a win!
