NICE FIT FOR OUR TEST PILOT! – June 29, 2019
Below is shown test pilot Ron McElroy, who is seated in the Switchblade prototype with his test flight helmet on and his parachute strapped to his back. Most test pilots wear a personal parachute regardless of whether the vehicle, like our Switchblade, has its own full-vehicle parachute. Ron is well over 6′ tall, and with helmet adding more than an inch, we were concerned that he wouldn’t fit in the cockpit. As it is, the lowered seating we provided was just the right height for him.
