DOCTORING THE DUCT – June 24, 2019
In the image below, Ron Burch (Chief Builder), and son Brent Burch, are working on the business end of the Switchblade’s body. Between the two of them, they have 73 years of experience working in composites. Needless to say, they know their stuff. The ducted fan is the most critical piece of the body, as it relates to engine, propeller, and the main cabin. There is a lot going on here, and on the left, Ron is working on the air intake to the engine. On the right, Brent is prepping the carbon fiber assembly for an up-coming vinyl wrap. This image is a bit surreal due to the lighting at the time.
