Update – July 10, 2018

July 10, 2018

It was a happy moment when the Switchblade rear tube frame arrived home at the Samson Hangar! This is the result of countless hours of engineering (for the jig and the tube frame), welding, fabrication, trouble shooting, etc.  Above, Sam Bousfield (left) and David Nobles talk over the plan for the next big step – fitting the rear carbon fiber parts to the tube frame, once it’s installed to the rear bulkhead of the body.

Pictured below on the left, David Nobles (Samson Engineer) and Brent Burch (Builder) had to apply some torque to remove a couple of bolts holding the steel tube frame onto the jig. It was another late night but the whole team is staying sharp and doing a great job!
