UPDATING OUR POSITION – December 16, 2019
The Switchblade fly-by-wire rudder system has position sensors that report many times a second, exactly where the rudders are pointing. The sensors, called encoders, needed a slightly better mounting bracket, as they are sensitive instruments. Phillip Mikula (left) and Ron Burch worked on developing these mounts, which Ron is holding in the image. They are referring to the 3D engineering drawing of the encoder and bracket.
