TUNING THE SWITCHBLADE SHOCK – December 15, 2020
When we drop tested the shock absorber and rear suspension on the most recent FAA test (second series of tests), we saw that there should be a slower absorption of the landing forces to fully meet the requirements. We ordered new shock internal parts and Dana Beebe is shown changing out the internals of our test shock absorber. This is so that we can re-test on our drop test sled to make sure the system is providing the right energy damping to help the body and rear frame survive hard landings if those occur.
