TESTING SWITCHBLADE DEFLECTIONS (‘Deflection Detection’) – September 10, 2020
We are measuring the deflection in the Switchblade aileron system today. We passed the aileron Total Load Test, and are now checking deflection to ensure we have a proper aileron system for flight. (Non-aviators: Ailerons bank the plane left and right.) Sam Bousfield is using a weight scale to apply the correct force while David Nobles resists control movement at the control wheel.
