A side project to all of the engine work and testing has been the stiffening of the steering mount. We had fabricated this from tubular steel, but it was bending and twisting more than we liked, so Joel from the assembly team worked out a way to do a carbon replacement that would stiffen this piece, and make it lighter at the same time. In this image you can see him doing touch-up on a wet layup of one of the joints.
