Our fixed chain tensioner did not prove to be suitable for safe operation of the chain drive, so we fashioned a new chain tensioner and mounted it for use in the flying prototype. In this image you can see the spring and arm being mounted in the prototype by the talented fingers of Samson Assembly Tech, Sean Bliss. A small wheel on the end of the arm will apply pressure to the chain to even out the chain pressures on the backside.
