Seeing the excellent progress and all the testing Samson is doing, has given me complete confidence that the Switchblade will be a huge success!
The Switchblade is a practical, high-performance vehicle. For me, it will make travel affordable, fun and comfortable – in an all new way. It’s more practical than a motorbike but about the same payload, and it’s fast. The large windscreen gives excellent visibility, which is another of its many great features.
This cutting edge vehicle is economical price wise, yet luxurious and fully loaded. Being able to cruise at 250 kpm will open up lots of options for travel. When we want to take a quick trip out for that special dinner, or just have pizza at our favorite place in a nearby city, we can get there easily.
After retirement, I plan to do some touring across my home country of Canada and in the US as well – sightseeing and camping. After visiting someplace, I don’t have to drive long distances or go back to where my airplane is parked. I can simply find an airfield nearby, and up we go. With a Switchblade, I have the freedom to go wherever I want, with speed and safety.
On a visit to the Samson facility, Sam and Martha Bousfield gave me the full tour, and I talked extensively with Sam, getting answers to all my questions. It was great to sit in the dash display (see photo) and imagine myself driving and flying my Switchblade. I even got to assist as a time-keeper on their slalom testing with the ground test vehicle, using Road & Track’s specifications. In earlier testing, the Switchblade had already out-performed everything in its wheelbase in Road & Track’s historical data base. That day we beat those earlier times, which was exciting!
When I came to the Samson facility I was already a Switchblade Owner. After meeting the ‘culprit’ (Sam) and his associate and wife Martha, and talking with them, I learned about an equity investment opportunity with the company. I got all my questions answered, and was given an honest view of Samson’s financial status, risks, etc. They are on top of spending and doing really well. I slept on it, then called them back and invested in their company. For me, Samson’s wind tunnel results are my insurance. Plus, the Bousfields have earned my trust.
