START OF TESTING SUPERCHARGED SWITCHBLADE – October 6, 2020
We have begun testing the supercharged Switchblade flying car, with the propeller engaged, using the V4 engine. Today, we started tuning from idle on up to 4,000 rpm. We found the boost to be less than expected, even with the larger drive pulley from the engine/transmission, so we are revising the belt path for the supercharger to gain more grip, and will resume testing tomorrow. Superchargers are belt driven, and the belt can’t slip or you lose the needed boost (compressed air) going into the engine.
