ENLARGED AIR INTAKE SYSTEM – STEP 3 – October 30, 2020

The next few steps are combined here, as progress was fast. The new airbox was welded to the intake runners. Then the fittings were welded to the airbox (for hose connections of different types). The last item was to weld on a plate at the top of the airbox to fasten the new and larger throttle body (meters engine airflow). Even though this new throttle body flows significantly more air than the old one, it is half the weight and less than half the height of the old one. Done! Next we will mount it in the engine and see how much improvement it makes. (Sean Bliss surprised us with a cool little Samson logo add-on!)
