NEW CARBON DUCTED FAN PARTS – October 1, 2018

Above, Brent Burch is trimming up the new carbon ducted fan parts we had re-done at Composite Universal Group in Warren, Oregon. CUG was very good about fixing one of their parts that had the joggle (joint portion) on the wrong side of the line, and made for a difficult assembly. The new parts were perfect, and fit well, as can be seen in the image below, with Sam Bousfield and Brent looking over the numerous parts that this part had to fit up against.

Fast forward some days and we can show you this more complete view of the two replacement parts for the Switchblade’s rear ducted section, below.  After being temporarily assembled on the prototype, this is how nicely they fit.

The front hatch and windshield are in the foreground, showing the view along the right side of the vehicle and into the new ducted area parts. The doors are missing in action here, as they are getting windows placed in each of them.
