SWITCHBLADE GPS FULLY OPERATIONAL – February 6, 2020
This afternoon, Nick Leonard and Philip Mikula completed the final wiring and configuration for the GPS and transponder components. We are using a Dynon GPS with ADS-B (Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast). This broadcasts a signal during flight, so that other aircraft can “see” us on their screen. As an additional safety feature, the Switchblade will come standard with ADS-B.
They did a final check with the prototype out in front of the hangar, where signal was available. Everything checked out and our GPS is now fully operational!
