FUEL TANKS AND CLAMSHELL DOORS – April 20, 2019
Once the belly pan was installed again, we could put the two new clamshell doors on. Composite Approach of Redmond re-made the clamshell doors for us to take some of the weight out of that part, and the new ones are being installed, as you can see in the image above. The copper colored pins are called Clecos, and act like a quick-disconnect bolt or pin to hold parts together while you are working on them. Very useful when parts are coming on and off quickly as part of a process.
