During yesterday’s acceleration runs, driver Sam Bousfield clocked a top airspeed of 113 mph, leaving last week’s 95 mph in the dust!!! The purpose of this phase of testing (with wings off) is to accelerate over a longer distance to find out how the new 7-blade performs at speeds above takeoff speed. (Airspeed is shown on our Dynon flight instruments.) We’re dodging the weather right now but plan to get back on the runway soon. Stayed tuned for a video clip of this top run!
