Bruce Wickmann –

Corporate Pilot, Director of Aviation, & Company President

Samson Sky’s unique development process has resulted in an amazing flying / driving vehicle.

I am a corporate pilot who has over 15,500 hours of total flight time. I’ve been flying for about 55 years, and am 71 years young. I still fly part-time for the company and people I have flown for over the past 42 years.

In order to meet my continuing desire to fly once I stop flying professionally, I’ve been looking for a recreational type aircraft. For the past 30 years I have been mainly flying corporate jet aircraft and only occasionally flown piston propeller aircraft. (Photo: flying one of my favorite jets – a Falcon 2000, at 41,000 feet.) I do have over 1,000 hours of single engine piston aircraft time, but it has been a while.  However, this is the direction I see myself going in the future, as I want to fly for as long as my health will allow.

I never thought I would be looking at a kit type aircraft, but the Switchblade really intrigued me, so after following the progress closely, I decided to reserve mine.  I am very interested in building my kit at the Samson Builder Assist Center, under the close supervision of professionals.  This is the only way I would ever consider a kit aircraft.

Samson Sky’s unique development process has resulted in an amazing flying / driving vehicle. I look forward to seeing the next step: First Flight, coming soon.
