For us, part of the process in flight testing is to check different propeller blade angles, as this relates to acceleration and top speed. The purpose is to see what prop angles will give us the best acceleration, and also operate above takeoff speeds – to give us ample thrust after takeoff. In this image you can see Assembler Sean Bliss adjusting the pitch of the prop blades between acceleration tests. The end product was to identify the best prop situation we could prior to flight, and we accomplished that through ground testing recently.
