MORE WORK BUT LESS WEIGHT – March 11, 2022

March 11, 2022

Our initial drop test of the Switchblade rear suspension showed that we passed the drop test requirements, but the forces developed that the tube frame would have to absorb were higher than the tube frame was designed for. So we had to re-design the suspension to reduce the forces. If we didn’t, we might bend the tube frame in a hard landing. The lower A-arm is being re-done so it can use a shorter, more vertically oriented shock absorber. You can see the difference of the existing blue shock to the new grey shock in the image.
