The next parts being made are the front quarter panels on the left and right side of the nose of the vehicle. With this, we should have a completed nose cone as the first completed sub-assembly for the Switchblade.
“Always good to see you if you can come to AirVenture!”

Love to see you at AirVenture!
While we aren’t displaying this year at AirVenture, Sam will be on the grounds on Tuesday July 22 to meet with Switchblade fans and allow people to ask questions and get the latest update. Sam will be in the FAA Safety Center next to the Tower off Knapp Street from 10 am until 2 pm. It looks like there may be some thunderstorm activity this year, so we picked a place that is sheltered to ‘hang out’. Hopefully we will get to see you there. You have to enter the building from the runway side.
The Team is hard at work building that first production vehicle, which is Samson’s next milestone and one we are very committed to producing in the shortest amount of time. We apologize for not being at our usual booth for the event, but hope most can appreciate the fact that we are pushing for production and not stopping for anything at this point.
Front quarter panels being made
The next parts being made are the front quarter panels on the left and right side of the nose of the vehicle. With this, we should have a completed nose cone as the first completed sub-assembly for the Switchblade. This is all crush structure in case of front collision and also houses the radiator inlets. Maybe not the most sexy part of the vehicle, but necessary all the same.
Speaking at Electric Aircraft Symposium
Sam Bousfield is speaking on Saturday July 19 at the Electric Aircraft Symposium at Oshkosh, Wisconsin at 4:15 pm as part of the Advanced Aircraft Mobility forum. You can see his talk online at a later date, or come see it in person at the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh.
Keeping it short this month
We are keeping it short this month on the newsletter as we are really on the fly to get to AirVenture. We are meeting with investors internationally and establishing the connections to enable a smooth and large roll-out of production across the globe. Check back for a more complete briefing next month, or sooner if things go the way it looks like now.
